If you’d like to learn about the history of Moncton, from the days of the Micmacs to today’s present culture, then make sure you spend time at the Moncton Museum. Throughout the year it hosts various traveling exhibits as well a permanent display.
The Free Meeting House, located beside the Museum, is one of the city's oldest structures and has painstakingly been restored to its original 1821 style. It is open Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours in the summer. Admission is by donation.
